The dilemma our children and teens are facing is two-fold:
The lack of a strong family structure in the context of a safe and healthy community has led to the current dilemma we now face in adolescent health. Teen pregnancy and STD’s, including AIDS, drug usage, suicide, school drop out, gang involvement, teen violence and incarceration are all direct results of an American culture that no longer values family and community.
Second is a planet that is quickly showing the ware of failed environmental stewardship on the part of their elders. As the people of earth debate the causes of global climate change and other environmental issues the fact remains that we are in need of a new and bold vision followed by action that actually makes a difference!
Who holds the answers to these pressing problems? The President? The US Congress? While these are important world leaders, those who hold the future of America and this world in their hands are the millions of young adults, teens and children around the world!
Reach America was created to mobilize young adults and teens to impact cultural and environmental change where they live, in their nation and the world!
